Dimmable magnifying lamp for ideal lighting conditions

The brightness of the 821X series magnifying lamps can be adjusted in 6 brightness levels. This allows the lighting to be tailored to individual needs. For this purpose, a touch-sensitive control is located on the lamp head, which responds even when latex gloves are worn. Together with a pleasant colour temperature of 6500 K (similar to daylight), this lamp is also ideal for cosmetics or foot care. Energy-efficient LEDs provide even illumination of up to 950 lumens with a high colour rendering value (CRI > 90). Thanks to a service life of up to 25,000 hours, these advantages can be enjoyed for an extremely long time.

Despite their enormous luminosity of 10 watts, the LEDs arranged in a circle around the lens in the lamp head consume very little power. The magnifying lamp operates on a harmless 20 V low voltage via a separate power supply unit.

Real glass lens without colour cast for crystal-clear vision

The 821X model is fitted with a 127 mm crystal-clear glass lens. This ensures a clear image without colour cast and with minimal distortion. The magnifying lamp is available with a magnification of either 3 or 5 dioptres and enables precise, fatigue-free work.

The lens is available in two strengths:

3 dioptres (1.75x magnification)

5 dioptres (2.25x magnification)

Large working radius and easy positioning

Thanks to its special design, the arm mechanism has a large working radius, swivels easily and, unlike conventional magnifying lamps, poses no risk of pinching your fingers. It is also worth noting that the hidden springs hold the lamp precisely in the set position. The construction also allows quick and easy cleaning.

Overall, this magnifying lamp stands out for its exclusive quality and its elegant design. The practical rubber protective edge has been carried over from the previous series. It provides improved grip, better positioning and a certain degree of protection against light knocks. Thanks to the manufacturer's many years of experience, the lamp is extremely practical in use. All controls are conveniently arranged and therefore easy to reach.

Frequently asked questions

Which dioptre strength is right for me?

For most tasks a 3-dioptre lens (1.75x magnification) is the best choice – it gives you plenty of working distance and a large field of view. Only go for 5 or 8 dioptres if you need to see very fine detail: the stronger the lens, the smaller the field of view and working distance become.

Do I keep my glasses on while working?

Yes – work with your usual vision correction. Glasses and lens act together: if you already wear strong reading glasses, 3 dioptres is usually the better choice, because too much combined magnification shrinks the field of view and working distance and becomes tiring.

How is the lamp mounted – and is a stand included?

Our articulated-arm magnifying lamps come with a table clamp. A rolling or table stand can simply be selected as a set variant on the product page. Wall brackets and other holders are available as accessories.

How bright does a magnifying lamp need to be?

For close work at a desk, 500 to 1,000 lumens is the usual range. At Lumeno the range runs from 450 lumens on the compact Lambda S to 1,150 lumens on the 851X; the 680X delivers 550 lumens, and the 721X, 8213/8215 and 861X series around 950 lumens each. More important than the number is the distribution: the LEDs sit in a ring around the lens so the workpiece is lit from every side and no hard shadows form - which is exactly why a desk lamp plus a hand-held magnifier rarely does the job.

Is the lamp suitable for continuous professional use?

Yes, that is what these series are built for - in beauty studios, foot care, laboratories and workshops they run for many hours every day. More important than the housing material in the long run is the supply of spare parts: lenses, power supplies, clamps, brackets and stands can all be ordered individually and come from our own service department, which also carries out repairs. A scratched lens or a worn clamp is therefore no reason for a new device.

Where do the lamps come from?

Lumeno is a German brand. Advice, the spare parts store and the repair service are based in Germany, and here you buy directly from the manufacturer rather than through a middleman - which is why matching parts are still available even for older series.

What is the difference between the 8213 and the 8215?

Only the lens strength: the 8213 has 3 dioptres, the 8215 has 5 dioptres. Housing, lighting and features are identical – simply choose the strength as a variant.

Is the brightness adjustable?
